We’re The Muffler Shop Car Center & Towing, and we've been a leading auto repair and towing shop here in Hannibal, MO, since 1974. We provide service on a range of vehicles including mufflers, oil changes, transmission replacements, and alignments. We also offer 24 hours emergency towing services for any issue that may arrive (even on holidays outside of normal business hours). If it has to do with your vehicle's health, we have it covered! We offer a bottle exchange station for SJ Smith Welding Supplies and Central Welding Supplies. We also sell a variety of new and used tires! Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is trained to repair any car or truck in our garage for a reasonable price. We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Hannibal and the surrounding areas. Our top priority is to keep you and your family safe and mobile on the road.

The Muffler Shop Car Center & Towing, located in Hannibal, MO, is a family-owned and operated business with a rich history spanning nearly 50 years. Founded by our current owner Ron's father-in-law, this trusted automotive service center has become a cornerstone of the Hannibal community. Today, the business is proudly owned and operated by Ron and his brother-in-law, who have carried forward the values and commitment to quality that the shop was built on.

Recently, I had them install a new muffler onto my truck, they got me in right when they said they could and the work was done very quickly, they went ahead and checked the Lugnuts on my tires as well as that needed to be done. And the cost to do all the work was more than reasonable. while they are very busy, they’re extremely friendly and they go out of the way to make sure that the work is done right and they have always stood by the work that they’ve done for me. While I sat in there, waiting for my work to be done, many people came in and they went above and beyond helping everyone. this is my experience with the Muffler Shop. I wouldn’t have any problem trusting them to do any work that I need done.

Josh has been employed to us for 15 years! Not only is he certified for Missouri Safety Inspections, he is one of the only technicians in the area certified to work on wheel chair lifts! Josh also has a degree in electrical mechanics among other certifications! Don’t let our name fool you, we are your one stop shop for all your car care needs!

Luke has been employed with The Muffler Shop for almost 10 years now! He came to the shop shortly after graduating high school. He is our main Alignment tech! He is also certified to give Missouri state inspections. Luke is a very talented mechanic and we are blessed he is apart of our Muffler Shop Family.

Cory has been with our shop for 8 years now! Exhaust work is his specialty but this man can do it all. Before coming to the Muffler Shop, Cory was an air craft mechanic. He loves to tinker and no job is too big or small! Always has a great attitude and a smile on his face.
